Spurs-Pistons game postponed: 24 scheduled contests now called off due to COVID-19 issues

CBS Sports

Article Summary:

Players continue to test positive for the virus, which in turn forces teammates that have come into contact with those players to sit out.

On Monday, the league was forced to bump yet another game as Tuesday night’s tilt between the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons has been postponed after the Spurs were left with less than eight available players for the matchup. Their COVID-19 protocols were updated in an effort to prevent further spread of the virus within the league, but that, too has seen pushback from players. The NBA has not considered pausing the season, but should the virus continue to make playing games untenable, that is a solution the league may need to consider.
