Article Summary:

In the team’s 118-113 win over the Houston Rockets, Thybulle played a key role on the defensive end of the floor. “We haven’t done it much without Ben on the floor, the Matisse-Ben combination is fantastic, tonight, we did it and I didn’t plan on doing it long, but once we figured that it caused confusion, we stayed in it.”

Normally, it would be Thybulle and Simmons at the top of the 2-3 zone and the two of them would be able to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. Without Simmons, the team had to turn to Danny Green and he found that it’s pretty fun playing next to Thybulle. “Just the way he moves and the way he played on defense and he’s got great hands. He was all over the place and I think he has a chance, especially when it comes to the All-NBA Defensive Team.”

Offensively, Thybulle had five points and he the two shots that he took, but it was clear his impact was on the defensive end when Philadelphia switched to the zone.
