These are the types of games found in the playoffs when pace of play slows to a grinding halt, and a team has to be able to fight through it. The three played a much smarter second half and they made a lot of adjustments after their play in the first 24 minutes.
“I didn’t think we had our smartest game offensively in the first half,” said Rivers. “It’s a good win because we didn’t play our best for most of the game, but it’s a gutsy win against a good team. Sometimes, you gotta rely on the defense to keep you in the game, and we got some stuff down the stretch to score some points. It was a full team effort on both ends of the floor to get this win.”
The Sixers will take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday at home.
