One player who offers a lot of intrigue for the playoffs is rookie Tyrese Maxey. “Especially just being on the same end of the bench together. It’s been fun being able to point out situations where he can make some of the plays that I’ve become notorious for making.”
The play that Thybulle discussed was his ability to come up with a block behind an offensive player that he is stalking. Maxey has made a couple of those plays towards the end of the season and Thybulle is proud of him for that. “Then in the last two or three games where he’s had significant minutes, he actually went and made the plays that we talked about. I think that just speaks a lot to him as a player and as a young kid being able to learn on the fly and adapt.”
That has been Maxey’s M.O. all season long.
