Report: Sixers have shown interest in free agent Paul Millsap

Article Summary:

Despite not being the player he once was, Millsap could still be a useful part of a Sixers roster. It’s no secret Philadelphia could use a stretch five off the bench, and Millsap has shot 34 percent or better from 3 each of the last four seasons.

Another is the price, as Fischer goes on to say in his article that Millsap is seeking more than the $3.5 million Denver has available below the tax line. If Millsap is not amenable to joining a club on a veteran’s minimum deal, the Sixers would either have to dip into the remaining portion of their taxpayer mid-level exception, or possibly work out some sort of sign-and-trade with Denver using the $8.2 million trade exception from the Al Horford trade.
