Andre Drummond talks growing chemistry with Shake Milton for Sixers

USA Today

Article Summary:

The Philadelphia 76ers made another change to the backup big man spot in the 2021 offseason when they brought in former 2-time All-Star Andre Drummond in order to backup Joel Embiid and provide some help for the bench.

So far, Drummond has done just that as he is averaging 6.3 points and 9.7 rebounds off their bench.

“Yeah, Shake is a very, very smart basketball player too,” said Drummond. “He makes my job easy too because he’s precise with his movements when he comes off of the pick-and-roll. So, I know what he’s going to do every time. When he comes off, he’s able to shoot that mid-range jump shot.”

When Milton is able to get the screen from the big man, he is able to get downhill and be able to either get an easy bucket or find Drummond for a dunk or a layup.
